Coffee-preneur opening 14th store in South End

Coffee with a view: Waterbean South End

June 20. Waterbean Coffee, the region’s largest locally owned specialty coffee shop, is opening its 14th store in the Charlotte region.

Owner Tony Vo has already opened three locations this year. The new South End location at 1415 Vantage Park has the Uptown skyline as a backdrop. And, yes, there will be pastries.

Vo, who says five more locations are on the way, said seeing the South End space was a case of love at first sight.

His first location was in Jetton Village in Cornelius where it remains a mainstay of local business networking.
