Tony Vo has more brewing as Waterbean continues to expand

Coffee-preneur Tony Vo of Waterbean

Aug. 22. Cornelius-based Waterbean Coffee, which opened its first Winston-Salem location just last week, will open a new store in the Quail Corners Shopping Center this coming weekend.

A 13th store will open in Concord soon, according to founder Tony Vo.

Background

Vo launched Waterbean less than nine years ago on Jetton Road just outside The Peninsula. A popular business meeting location, it never missed a beat even during COVID.

More brewing

Vo plans to open an 8,000-square-foot coffee shop/distribution center in Gastonia.

“Gastonia is growing rapidly, and we feel that their growing city and economy is a perfect market for our high-quality craft coffee,” Vo said.

What’s next?

“We would like to continue to expand our brand throughout the Carolinas and around the country,” Vo said.
