Dr. Steven H. Zeisel, the director of the Nutrition Research Institute in Kannapolis, will discuss nutrition needs at Restaurant 46 at 6 pm Sept. 13. The title of the presentation is “Genetics and Health: Your nutrition needs are as unique as you are.” The Nutrition Research Institute, based at the North Carolina Research Campus, is working to unlock the promise of personalized nutrition for proactive health management. “As scientists at the NRI better understand nutritional individuality, our healthcare professionals will be able to better guide each of us in reaching and maintaining our optimal health, and we will be able to more effectively treat diseases like obesity, cancer and diabetes,” the NCRC said in the invitation.
