ServisFirst, a $15 billion Alabama bank, will open in LKN this year

Feb. 3. It looks like another bank is coming to Lake Norman. ServisFirst Banchsares, which opened its first North Carolina office in December in Ballantyne, plans to open up somewhere in Lake Norman.

There’s no word on where they’ll land in Lake Norman but the Birmingham, Ala.-based bank has already hired Lee Millican as its Lake Norman market president, and April Patterson as a commercial banking officer.

Millican worked at BB&T for 18 years before it merged with SunTrust to form Charlotte-based Truist Financial.

Patterson previously helped HomeTrust Bank expand into Lake Norman, having had positions at First Horizon, Fidelity Bank and Wells Fargo. Patterson. She is a member of the LKN Chamber board.

ServisFirst’s total assets at year-end 2022 were just under $15 billion. Net income in 2022 was $251.5 million. ServisFirst Bank dates back to 2005. It has offices across Alabama, in Charleston, SC., Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
