Rotary club seeking male chefs and sponsors for charity event

Feb. 26 – The Rotary Club of Huntersville Happy Hour is searching for 15 more teams and additional sponsors to participate in the Lake Norman Men That Cook charity event March 25th.

Teams can be made up of two, three or four men who bring a home-cooked dish for attendees to sample.

Tickets purchased in advance cost $10 while tickets at the door cost $15. Children under age five are free.

Attendees can vote for their favorite dish and the champion team will be awarded a monetary prize based on the number of votes received to donate to their charity or non-profit organization.

Five celebrity chef judges from local restaurants will also add weighted votes for the best food entries in each category. Food categories so far include wings, beans, casseroles, barbecue and meatballs.

The event will also feature live music and a silent auction.

Lake Norman Men Who Cook will take place at noon at Langtree Plantation at 554 Langtree Road in Mooresville.
