RCCC’s chief operating officer will become president of Forsyth Tech

Dr. Janet N. Spriggs, the chief operating officer at Rowan Cabarrus Community College, has been named president of Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem. Spriggs will begin her tenure at Forsyth Tech on Jan. 1 of next year. Spriggs, who recently obtained her doctorate from Northeastern University, has served in the North Carolina Community College System for the last 22 years.

“It is a great compliment to the College to grow a president, and I know she will continue to succeed in her efforts to change student lives. She is committed to ensuring a smooth and successful transition as she concludes her career at Rowan-Cabarrus,” said Carl M. Short, chair of the Rowan-Cabarrus Board of Trustees. “Dr. Spriggs has made an incredible, transformational impact on the College, our students, and the community. Her visionary leadership and passion for student success will be truly missed here but will continue at Forsyth Tech and across the North Carolina Community College System.”
