Peninsula Foundation gala raises $100K for charity

PCF_LogoNov. 18 The Peninsula Club Foundation hosted 200 guests at The Peninsula Club Nov. 8 for its annual fundraising gala and million dollar bash. The Casino Royale themed event was emceed by WBTV news anchor Paul Cameron and featured a full casino, raffle prizes and live music by All Out Accoustical Band. The event raised over $100,000 which will be donated to local charities that serve residents of the North Mecklenburg community.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of checks to two local organizations that the PCF has supported for many years, and that put the PCF over the One Million Dollar mark.  Joining Todd Wiebusch, current PCF President at the podium were past PCF Presidents, Ed Patton, Gip Bonar and David Powell.  They presented a $25,000 check to April Cook, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Lake Norman Community Health Clinic in Huntersville, and a $20,000 check for the LEARNWorks Program of the Ada Jenkins Center to Executive Director Georgia Krueger.
