Pair to present legislative outlook at Newsmakers Breakfast Jan. 14

NMB_January2016_Legislators_HeadshotNC Sen. Jeff Tarte and NC Rep. John Bradford will speak at the Business Today and Cornelius Today Newsmakers Breakfast Jan. 14 at The Peninsula Club.

The Cornelius residents both served in Cornelius town government before heading to Raleigh. While the 2016 short session doesn’t officially get under way until April 26, various committees get to work during the first week of January.

Both Tarte and Bradford have also become active in bi-partisan efforts to cancel the I-77 contract between NCDOT and Cintra, an American subisdiary of Ferrovial, the infrastructure conglomerate based in Spain.

The Newsmakers Breakfasts, complete with breakfast and focused discussion on a timely topic, begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 9 a.m. Doors open at 7:15 a.m. for networking. The cost to attend, $12, includes a full country breakfast. The open forum, where the audience asks questions of people in the news, begins at 8 a.m.
