Newsmakers Breakfast March 12 on new Atrium hospital in Cornelius

Planned Atrium Health hospital in Cornelius

Feb. 29. A Newsmakers Breakfast March 12 at The Peninsula Club will feature Bill Leonard, the Atrium executive behind the hospital that is coming to Cornelius.

The 170,000-square-foot hospital and an adjacent 72,000-square-foot office building will bring an estimated 280 jobs to Cornelius, not to mention more access to healthcare. The second phase of construction will add 122,000 square feet to the hospital building.

Leonard

Atrium Health Lake Norman, as the facility will be known, was originally valued at $153 million. It is now said to be a “significantly larger” investment in the community.

In short, it’s a game-changer for the Cornelius economy.
