New board members at Historic Rural Hill

Bill Gaither and Maren Werts have joined board of directors at Historic Rural Hill, the 265-acre site that was the home of Major John Davidson, a member of the militia during the Revolutionary War. Members of the Davidson family acquired the property in 1765, named it Rural Hill, and owned it for the next 250 years.

Bill Gaither served as CEO and part owner of what’s now American Tire Distributors. He is a commercial broker at Newport Properties, a real estate business owned by his wife, Kate.

Maren Tallent Werts is a Cornelius native and attorney practicing with Church Watson Law. She has served on the boards of the Davidson Community Players, the Lake Norman Community Health Clinic, Cornelius Cultural Arts Group and the Lake Norman Chamber Young Professionals.
