March 21.  The Carolinas Bass Challenge and Visit Lake Norman are pleased to announce that the Carolinas Bass Challenge Classic will be held October 21-22 on Lake Norman.  The Classic is Carolina Bass Challenge’s championship event.  More than 300 anglers are expected to launch out of Blythe Landing. This is the third year of a three-year agreement between CBC and VLN.  As part of the agreement, CBC will hold a qualifier event on March 19 at Blythe Landing.

“This season is off to a great start with our Skeeter Bonus Money of $10,000 plus 100% payback and Big Fish payback,” said CBC co-founder Matt Farris.  “We are looking forward to a great draw at Blythe on March 19 as anglers look to qualify for the 2016 CBC Classic, which will also be held at Blythe in October with a guaranteed $50,000 first place prize on the line.”

The CBC tournament trail has quickly emerged as one of the premier bass fishing tournament trails in the Carolinas.  A minimum of $8,000 is guaranteed for first place at each qualifier event.  An additional $10,000 is available to the top finishing Skeeter/Yamaha owners who participate in all 2016 CBC events.  The participant must be the registered owner of the boat and must be fishing the CBC event in their Skeeter/Yamaha boat package to qualify for the bonus money.

All CBC event weigh-ins will feature free food and drinks for anglers and spectators.
