Jan. 19.  Lake Norman Brewing Company, a craft micro-brewery located at 159 Barley Park Lane in Mooresville, is under new ownership.  The new majority owners are Darrin Jones, president of American Identity Solutions, and Robert Whitaker, a supervisory criminal investigator for the Department of Homeland Security.  Jones and Whitaker plan to expand both the brewery and the tap room.

Former owner Mike Prascak will remain a minority shareholder of the 3,000-square-foot tap house and brewery.  Business broker and advisor Joe Vagnone transacted the sale.

The Lake Norman Brewing Company listing was rated the seventh top listing in North Carolina and one of the top listings nationally in December, according to BizBuySell, the largest national website used for marketing businesses.

The business was listed for only 39 days and sold to the buyers within four days of being presented.
