“It feels good to be selected as Board Chair. It’s been in my family for over 100 years, and it’s meant a lot to us. We’ve taken a lot from Selected as far as business practices and major friendships in my life.”

Kepner, who has been the Lake Norman Chamber’s business person of the year, comes from a long line of funeral directors, dating back more than 165 years in West Virginia.

He attended West Virginia University and West Liberty State College and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

Kepner will be officially installed during the Selected Independent Funeral Homes Annual Meeting, October 10-13 at the JW Marriott Chicago.
