John Aneralla, the new mayor of Huntersville, will be in the hot seat at the Business Today/Cornelius Today Newsmakers Breakfast Feb. 25 at The Peninsula Club.

A former president of the Lake Norman Kiwanis, which meets Thursday for lunch at Brooklyn South, Aneralla ran against former Cornelius Mayor Jeff Tarte in the Senate District 41 primary in 2012. Aneralla was elected mayor of Huntersville last year.

Sponsors for the open-forum Q&A include Epcon Communities, Aquesta Bank, Ginger Griffin Marketing & Design and Davidson Wealth Management.

Doors open at 7:15 a.m. for networking. The buffet-style breakfast gets under way at 7:30 a.m. The Q&A begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 9 a.m. The cost to attend, $12, includes a full country breakfast.

Reservations are required. Call 704-895-1335 with Visa or MasterCard.
