Davidson has new Town Attorney: Mary Ann Swan

April 14. Mary Ann Swan as the new town attorney in Davidson. A graduate of Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, she will provide legal guidance related to all aspects of town government, including drafting and reviewing contracts, ordinances and litigation on behalf of the town.

She comes to the Town of Davidson after most recently serving as the Corporation Counsel for Washburn County in Shell Lake, Wisc., where she was responsible for initiating and responding to all civil lawsuits on behalf of the county as well as preparing opinions for various departments.

Under Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Swan served on the Defense Base Closure Commission and the Assignment of Women for Combat in the Armed Services Commission where she worked with the Department of Justice and held nationwide public hearings on the subjects, ultimately making recommendations to Congress and the President.
