COVID-19 affects bank’s annual meeting

KS Bancorp Inc. , parent company of KS Bank in Smithfield, is limiting the number of shareholders that will be permitted to physically attend the annual meeting May 14. Of course, it’s all due to COVID-19 and physical distancing.

The meeting, which will start at 7 p.m., will be open on a conference call to shareholders who contact Denise W. Elliott, Executive Administrator before 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 13.

Upon verification of stock ownership as of the March 23, 2020 record date, participating shareholders will be provided with information on how to join the meeting by telephone.

Shareholders are encouraged to vote their shares prior to the meeting, as directed on the proxy cards sent by the Company.
