CNBC names NC top state for business in US

July 13. CNBC has named North Carolina as America’s Top State for Business in 2022. CNBC’s Scott Cohn announced the news at the Oceanic in Wrightsville Beach during a live broadcast with Gov. Roy Cooper.

Methodology

The CNBC study looks at 88 metrics in ten categories of competitiveness. North Carolina ranked highly in the Economy, Access to Capital and Technology and Innovation categories. North Carolina has placed in the Top 5 three times since 2017.
