Bob Taylor new president of AICPA Benevolent Fund

Bob Taylor, a partner at Potter & Co., has been named to a three-year term as president of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Benevolent Fund. He has been a member of the fund’s board of trustees for the past seven years.

He replaces the late Sam Leder, the Concord City Councilman and former chair of the Cabarrus Chamber of Commerce who passed away June 30.

Taylor has been the managing partner in Potter’s Mooresville office since 2003. Potter & Co. has offices in Concord, Mooresville, Charlotte and Monroe.

The Benevolent Fund, which dates back more than 85 years, helps CPAs who have suffered a financial setback due to a natural disaster, medical problem, unemployment or other causes. In 2018, the fund awarded nearly $650,000 to AICPA members and  family. Taylor is the new managing partner at Potter.
