Asian Festival, complete with Dragon Boat races, returning to Cornelius

March 23. The Asian Festival & Dragon Boat Race, postponed from May 2020 to October and then cancelled entirely for last year, comes back Oct. 16 to Ramsey Creek Park. A long-standing spring tradition in Cornelius, the event brings Dragon Boat races and thousands of foodies together to celebrate Asian cultures, diversity, ethnicity, roots and history. Admission to the Asian Festival is free.

Festival chairman and chair of the Carolinas Asian American Chamber of Commerce John Chen said there are more than 70,000 Asian Americans in Charlotte and environs. The mission of the chamber is to nurture, strengthen, empower Asian Americans and its business community.

The event includes Country Cultural Booths and diverse Asian cuisine.
