Premier Sotheby’s International reports total sales hit $7.1 billion last year

Jan. 26. Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, which has an office in Cornelius, surpassed $7 billion in total company sales volume for 2020, a 37 percent increase from 2019. The brokerage 25 percent more transactions, with an average sales price of $795,000.

Budge Huskey, CEO of Premier Sotheby’s International, said the company remained focused on safety during the coronavirus “with remote and virtual solutions while not compromising our pledge to elevated service.”

The average price-tag company-wide rose 10 percent from 2019.

NC volume up 52%

Total sales volume in North Carolina rose 52 percent from 2019, while the average sales price was up 11 percent year-over-year.

Significant sales included a $5.25 million home on Belle Isle Drive in Cornelius. Premier Sotheby’s also handled the Watermark condominium project just off West Catawba. The condos developed by Jamie Rolewicz sold out in the $1 million per unit range during 2020.

The husband-wife team of Victor and Amy Petrenko represented the sellers of a $4.78 million estate in The Point. The 12,000-square-foot house was one of ​the most expensive sales in the Charlotte region in 2019. Victor Petrenko is broker-in-charge at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty in Jetton Village.
