May 8. Youth Villages North Carolina is hosting its first-ever “Growing Stronger Summit” with author, national poverty and child welfare expert David Ambroz, head of community engagement (West) for Amazon. The summit, which will be held 8 am to 10 am May 17, will showcase how youth who are aging out of foster care can create economic opportunities that benefit workplaces and local communities.

A panel discussion with a former foster youth, Youth Villages staff, and Road to Hire will be moderated by Robby Carney, a member of the Cornelius Town Board and head of economic development in both Iredell and Cabarrus counties.
