Nov. 8. Novant Health has received 10 “A” hospital safety grades—the most in North Carolina—in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2023 scoring period. The Leapfrog Group, a national, industry-leading nonprofit, focuses on safety, quality and patient experience.

They evaluate more than 30 performance measures to assess hospital outcomes, and assign grades from A to F.

Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center received an “A” grade.

Dr. David Priest, Novant senior vice president, and chief safety and quality officer, said safety and quality are embedded in Novant culture. “Each day, we have the privilege of caring for people, often during the most vulnerable time in their lives, and the most important thing we can do is ensure our patients receive the safest care possible,” he said.
