Workplaces recognized for diversity, disability/equality

July 20. Diversity MBA Magazine’s new rankings of Best Places to Work put Atrium and Novant at the top of various categories.

Atrium Health was the No. 1 company nationwide for Women and Diverse Managers across all industries. Novant scored eighth place—with both NC-based healthcare providers besting companies like Clorox, Cigna and GE.

Disability/equality rankings

Separately, Novant Health has received a perfect score on the Disability Equality Index (DEI), a comprehensive benchmarking tool that gauges an organization’s level of disability workplace inclusion relative to other businesses.

TDS scores

TDS Telecommunications LLC, with operations in Mooresville, was named Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion, earning a score of 90 on the Disability Equality Index (DEI).

“Disability inclusion is a rapidly expanding aspect of corporate culture, and it’s gratifying
to partner with 415 companies on the 2022 Disability Equality Index,” said Jill Houghton, President and CEO of Disability:IN.
