Cabarrus College offering 2 new programs in 2018

Cabarrus College will add two new options to its array of academic programs that focus on the health sciences. New to the Louise Harkey School of Nursing is the Clinical Research Certificate Program. This online Certificate Program is for registered nurses with a bachelor’s degree. The Certificate can be earned in two consecutive semesters, or six to eight months. Graduates of the Clinical Research Certificate Program can be eligible for National Certification as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator by the Association of Clinical Research Professional (ACRP), after successful completion of the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification Exam. There is an increasing demand for Certified Clinical Research Coordinators.

Also new in 2018, the Medical Assistant diploma program will begin offering an online hybrid program where the lab component is held on the Charlotte campus of Carolinas College of Health Sciences. For students closer to Charlotte, this program allows the student to earn their Diploma in Medial Assistant in only one year. Students of this program may also take advantage of Carolinas HealthCare System’s Educational Loan Forgiveness Program, worth $5.000. There is currently a demand for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) within Carolinas HealthCare System. More info: Office of Recruitment at 704-403-1556 or www.cabarruscollege.edu.
